Aleks Atrens
Aleks is a young researcher in the energy sector, with a personal goal of becoming a major contributor to renewable energy development, and assisting in the implementation of intelligent energy policies. His focus is on base-load energy generation and supply. He has particular strengths in the following areas:
Power cycle and energy systems development – The work for his doctorate is focused on the design and thermodynamics of a geothermal power generation system using carbon dioxide.
Broad background in a range of disciplines – Aleks has retained knowledge from many areas, including networked systems design, implementation and troubleshooting; coal seam gas stimulation/production; fuel storage in porous media; biology/tissue engineering; and polymer synthesis.
Education & training experience – Aleks has been involved in teaching, tutoring, and training for a decade, most notably assistance with chemical engineering design projects.
Stephen Andrews
Stephen is a mechanical engineering consultant. He has experience in both the water sector and aviation CFD analysis. Stephen is intested in the conjunction of energy and transportation, particularly in relation to the future of aviation, tourism and trade.
